Our personal trainer Callum Osborne isn't just used to working up a sweat with our Trader Workouts, he'll also ensure we're eating right too.
So along with his Ten-Minute Lunch Recipes (see below), he's now come up with some snack ideas for during the day when those hunger pangs strike.
These snacks are easy to make, quick to knock up and - of course - healthy too. Perfect as a treat to chow down on after you've done the hardwork in the gym. Check out our latest Trader Workouts here.
1. Peanut butter on sliced apple.
- Peanut Butter
Callum says: "This is a great little snack to sort those sweet cravings. You have the sweetness from the apple as well as getting your protein intake from the peanut butter."
Callum says: "Get your favourite veg all chopped accompanied by a small pot of hummus. It's another great protein snack from the hummus. And if you find you are not getting enough veg in your diet this is a great way to do it."
3. Fruit kebabs
Callum says: "This is an easy one. Just get a load of your favourite fruit, and skewer them to make it a delicious and refreshing looking kebab. Nothing better than fresh fruit and it doesn’t take long to make it!"
4. Protein balls
- Peanut butter
Callum says: "Mix together the ingredients and bake for 5-10mins. These protein balls are so tasty and a nice little way to start your day. Getting the slow release carbs you need."
5. Rice cake
- Packet of Rice Cakes
- Cherry Tomatoes or
- Goats Cheese or
- Cottage Cheese or
Callum says: "Scrap the bread and swap for rice cakes, then add cheese for that protein to repair your body. Throw in some cherry toms or if you prefer you can always add fruit for taste instead. Prepare it all the day before to save time in the mornings."
